I love sweets. I can't help it. If there is anything sweet near me, you bet your ass I will want to eat it. So when I heard there would be a Dessert Fest this weekend... I had to attend.
It was a beautiful sunny day! We had a specific time slot to enter; the line wait was only 20min. People were supposed to leave every hour or so... but I'm sure people were having a difficult time leaving since everything was incredibly visually pleasing. #PhotographicWalls everywhere, millennial pink showered you as soon as you entered, so we get it. At one point, there were so many people that it made it a little difficult to admire each table, we were all trying to get a piece of the cuteness since everything had been made with limited amounts. Nevertheless it was still really colorful and delicious.
After savoring and taking a million pictures of cute desserts we walked back in search for some real food. We hit the jackpot. Sweating all the way down to our a...nkles, we were lucky to stumble upon Smorgasburg Foodie Market. The food smelled the delicious. ALL OF IT. We didn't know what to eat first. All my senses were overwhelmed, since there was also a shit ton of people.
It was hot. My makeup melted the second we hit the streets. All the shade surrounding the park was taken over by mobs of people. Luckily we found a kiosk with HUGE coconuts.
While we definitely missed out on a lot of good food because there was only so much we could actually digest, we hope to return soon to eat some Argentinian sausage, Japanese pancakes and more!
